花と樹があふれる街　　A city full of flowers and trees

街の通りを歩いていると、赤白黄色の花々や目に優しい木々が心を和ませてくれる。歩く道端で微笑む白く優しいユリの花、 一面に広がる明るいひまわり畑、うっそうと緑陰を連ねる並木道などである。

西洋の街を歩く楽しみに、窓辺に飾られた花々の可愛らしさがある。時代を感じさせる壁に設けたおしゃれなデザインのベラ ンダに、色とりどりの花々が植えられている。日本の屋敷林や日本庭園なども見る人をどれだけ和ませているかしれない。

こうした花や樹があふれる街には、必ずといっていいほど草取りや水やりなど花樹の世話をする人々がいる。その人たちの心 意気が花や樹に表われているからこそ、その街が生き生きと美しく感じられるに違いない。
